Did you know breastfeeding mothers have increased risk of developing carpel tunnel syndrome and tendonitis due to repetitive wrist motions? And that back pain is very common for new mothers? Are you having some pain? Are you having difficulty managing baby’s car seat, baby bag and everything else…just to get out of the door! Through discussion and modeling, this course will cover proper body mechanics and energy conservation techniques to prevent injury and address pain during breastfeeding, diaper changing, lifting, and other daily activities of motherhood. Class taught by occupational therapy graduate intern, Melissa Tucker, under the supervision of Drs. Lauren Sponseller and Caitlyn Foy.
This class is FREE. No registration required. All babies are welcome! Free screenings after discussion group!
