This #GivingTuesday the Breastfeeding Resource Center is asking our community to come together to support each other and help spread the word about our mission and commitment to supporting breastfeeding families.
Entering its seventh year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving.
#GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities; it provides a platform for them to encourage the donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges. It also brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners— nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals—to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness.
Here at the BRC we know the power of community. Our mission is to help moms reach their breastfeeding goals, with sliding scale payments, access to expert IBCLCs, community counselors and free support groups.
Here is just one of the many stories your donation can support:
At the hospital, Victoria found breastfeeding challenging right from the start. Her daughter, Natalie, couldn’t latch, so the hospital staff suggested a visit to the Breastfeeding Resource Center.
“Knowing I had someplace to go after I left the hospital helped me to not give up! The lactation consultants reassured me what was normal and what would be expected, and gave me the tools and resources to help me achieve my breastfeeding goals.”
Help us reach our goal this #GivingTuesday by donating and spreading the word to your friends and family.
