Have you ever wondered if you were doing this whole parenting a baby thing “right?” Are friends, family, and the Internet giving you conflicting advice leaving you feeling confused and without true support? Well, OBC is here to tell you: you are doing just fine. At the very heart of Our Baby Class is the idea that if you follow your instincts and do what works for you and your family, you are doing it right. Our Baby Class offers a set of four Core Classes:
Class One: Embracing Your New Normal – Becoming a parent is one of the biggest changes one will go through in life. This lesson explores the importance of taking care of yourself and it outlines simple steps you can take to ensure your mental, physical, and emotional health.
Class Two: Infant Sleep – Explore and understand arguably the most talked about topic among new parents.
Class Three: Soothing and Bonding – Being born is a huge transition for human mammals. As a parent, your job is to help ease their passage into babyhood and beyond. In this class, we’ll cover just how to do this.
Class Four: Tips and Tricks for Surviving the Early Days – “It takes a village to raise a child.” This Tips and Tricks class is meant to provide participants with some advice that only past experience can offer.
These classes are taken as a set and intended for new parents to begin once their baby has arrived. Our Baby Class is taught by Katie Matthews, OBC Certified Teacher. The Core Classes are two hours each and taught on a weekly rotating basis, so feel free to attend them in any order that’s convenient for you! All moms are welcome, nursing or not!
