Did you know breastfeeding mothers have increased risk of developing carpel tunnel syndrome and tendonitis due to repetitive wrist motions? And that back pain is very common for new mothers? Are you having some pain? Are you having difficulty managing baby’s car seat, baby bag and everything else…just to get out of the door! Through discussion and modeling, this course will cover proper body mechanics and energy conservation techniques to prevent injury and address pain during breastfeeding, diaper changing, lifting, and other daily activities of motherhood.
Salus University Occupational Therapy graduate interns, with facilitation by Dr. Lauren Sponseller will be offering a variety of workshops this month. In addition, they will be available for one-on-one screening appointments, following the workshops, from 12:00-2:00 pm. All these workshops are FREE. No registration required. All babies are welcome!
